Details
TQ 2980 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER GREAT PULTENEY STREET W1 70/50 23-11-78 No 20 ("Sun and 13 Cantons" Public House) II Corner public house. Dated 1882. Red brick with stone dressings, slate roof. Free gothic revival. 3 storeys and attic. One bay to Beak Street and 2 bays to Great Pulteney Street. Original public house frontage to both elevations with decorated consoles to fascia. Upper floors have 3 and 4 light wood casement windows. One gable to each elevation enclosing head of gothic arch which forms single attic window and which has cut and moulded brick Romanesque decoration to wall surface. Running below this level is a double band with moulded frieze. Survey of London; vol XXXI
