the item and description should be amended to read: Nos 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 Stable Cottages, including Tower and Coach House (SU 7414 6193)

Stable yard, tower coach house and adjoining buildings, now cottages. Circa 1897, by W. Ravenscroft. Tower: plum brick with stone dressings, top stage with planked timbers, and hipped tile roof with lead ridge and finials. Square plan. 3 stages. North-west front: plinth, clasping buttresses to second stage, 2 string courses, and weathervane. Central 4-centred archway with hoodmould and finial. 2 second stage 2-light windows flanking central shaft leading to top stage oriel window with cinquefoil headed lights and hipped roof with lead finial. Canted stair turret to north-east rising to top stage with cinquefoil headed windows and hipped roof with lead finial.Flanking 1½ storey cottages forming L wing on each side of plum coloured brick with stone dressings to mullioned windows and with planked timber gabled dormers. The attached Coach House is of 1½ storeys brick, now painted, with 2 hipped dormers and large gable with planked timbers.
