4/160 The Old Vicarage II

Former vicarage, now private house. Mid/late C19. Coursed and dressed rubblestone, slate roof, diagonally-set paired brick stacks at each end and one at rear. Originally single range with slightly projecting gable at west end to road, later C19 additional projecting gable in centre. 2 storeys and attic. Front facade has 3 windows, triple light 10-pane casements to left and right with steeply angled voussoir blocks with chamfered edge, and twin casement on projecting gable under cambered head with voussoirs. Cruciform vent to roof above right hand window. liear facade, probably the original main front, has 3 triple light windows with pointed arches between wood mullions under hood moulds, and centre arched doorway under hood mould with double panelled doors and inner door in similar arched style. Roofline has centre battlemented section with flanking gables with decorative bargeboards. Interior retains original doors and doorcases and stick baluster staircase.
