House. Late C16, altered. Timber-frame with close studding to ground floor and jettied first floor. C20 brick infill, part colourwashed. Right gable and ground floor of left gable rebuilt C17 in rubble stone, upper part of right gable now covered in colourwashed roughcast. Old tile roof, hipped to left. Brick chimneys to gables and between right-hand bays. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Irregular C20 leaded windows, 3-light in left-hand bays, 2-light to lower right, 2 single lights to upper right. Lobby entry between right-hand bays has lintel with 4-centred arch, altered. C20 attic dormer to left side. C20 extensions in colourwashed brick to rear and set back to left. Interior has moulded cross beams in ground floor room to left, fireplace with moulded Tudor arch to wooden lintel in same room,and stone fireplace on first floor with moulded jambs and chamfered lintel. Another large open fireplace at right end. Roof has curved windbraces. RCHM II p 177-8 MON 16
