House. Circa 1890. Red brick with some gauged window heads, first floor planted timbers and tile roof. Irregular plan. 2 storeys. Decorated barge boards and 4 stacks with pilaster shafting. Main elements include: segmental headed half glazed door to left with hoodmould. Ground floor oval window off- centre to left, large segmental gauged brick arch corbelled above supporting square bay and semi dormer with 2 cross windows and hipped roof with gablet. Projecting gabled wing off-centre to right with ground floor canted bay, and first floor supported on corner brackets above with canted oriel window. Octagonal corner turret to right with mullioned and transomed ground floor window, first floor verandah with wooden balustrade and set back glazed door, and pyramidal roof with lead finial. This is one of a group of houses sometimes known as 'The Seven Deadly Sins'. Included for group value. B.O.E, Berkshire, p.192; Berkshire Architectural Guide, Betjeman and Piper, Murray, 1949, p.137.
