Details
SP 1037 BROADWAY CP HIGH STREET (north side) No 112 (Milestone Cottage) 9/55 GV II House. Late C17, altered early C20. Limestone rubble with steep stone slate roof. One storey with attic. Gable wall, facing street, has 4-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window under a hood which also encloses the doorway to its right. The attic is lit by a rebated and chamfered mullioned window of two segmental headed lights. Under the apex is a single-light window. The doorway has a chamfered surround and canted head. The right- hand return wall, facing east, has three windows on ground floor with plain reveals, and two attic dormers. Chimney towards centre of ridge. A photo- graph of c1906 shows a window with plain reveals where the present doorway is, and a door to the left inserted into the remains of a C17 mullioned window.
