3/25 The Black Horse (Previously listed as Black Horse Inn) 10.11.55
GV II
House, probably with early C18 core. Coursed and squared rubble with stone tiled roof. 2 storeys. 2-unit plan with door to left of elevation, with stone lintel and keystone. Right of door, 2 3-light C19 casements with stone heads, and keystones. Upper windows renewed. Brick stack behind the door and another between the windows. Stone coped gable to right. To the left and now forming part of the house, 2 bays of different build, with 2 3-light casement windows of the C19, with flat timber lintels. In this gable wall, large stepped stones from the gable, and at ground floor level is one blocked moulded stone window and alongside it a gothick traceried light with chamfered timber lintel.
