II
Inn. Probably late C17 with later additions. Timber-frame with plaster and brick infill; pantile and Welsh slate roofs. Sandstone rubble external end stack with brick shaft. Two timber-framed bays aligned north-north-east/ south-south-west with one-bay C19 addition to south and early C20 lean-to across north end. One storey and attic to timber-framed part, the west elevation of which has two windows, raking-top dormers with mid-C20 casements. Ground floor has three glazing bar C20 casements to left and entry to right. Framing is two square panels high from cill to wall-plate. Angle struts from tops of wall posts to wall-plates. Right-hand extension has one C20 casement to each floor, the lower one under a cambered head. Left-hand lean-to has ledged door. Interior has exposed ceiling beams. Said to have complete trusses. Flat- roofed late C20 extension to rear. (RCHM Vol I, p 237).
