4/72 Pitman Monument 2 metres north of north chapel of Church of Holy Trinity.
GV II*
Table-Tomb. Early C18. Stone, with oval centre panels to each long side. Cherubs in the top corners. Carved foliated pilasters. Flat top block with cyma-moulded cornice. Inscription, with good quality lettering: "Here lyeth the Body of Mr Thomas Pitman Esq. who died July 21st 1717, aged 63, with his wife Rebekah and five young children and their son Edward who died Nov. 7th 1717 in the 21st year of his Age".
