Cottage at Wicken Road Farm
II
Small house. C17 and C18. Coursed rubble stone, timber lintels
to openings, thatched roof. Thin brick in stack between left-
hand bays, later brick stacks at gable ends. T-plan with main
range at right-angles to road and projection to centre rear. S.
front has one-and-a-half storeys and three bays. Left-hand bay
is C18 addition, slightly set back, with more even coursing, lower
ridge and higher eaves. Ground floor has 3-light barred casements
in left-hand and centre bays, blocked opening in right-hand bays.
Two similar windows to first floor right-hand bays, C19 3-light
casement to left with single horizontal glazing bars. Door
between left-hand bays set back in moulded frame.
