GV II

House. Late C17 - early C18 origins with C19 re-roofing and alterations to openings, and C18 - C19 extension. Red brick in Flemish bond with slate roof to main section; yellow-brown brick with pantile roof to extension. Double-depth plan with central entrance hall front; extension to right. 2 storeys, 3 bays, symmetrical. C19 Doric doorcase with panelled door and 3- pane overlight in panelled reveal. 12-pane sashes with channelled and keyed stucco cambered arches. 3-course first floor band. Eaves board. Hipped roof. End stacks. Extension has board door and C20 casement beneath segmental arches, brick coped and tumbled gable. Garden front of main block has panelled door and 3-pane overlight, 12-pane sashes in flush wood architraves beneath painted rubbed brick arches. Interior retains original details, including single-flight closed-string staircase with moulded handrail and bulb-on-vase balusters, pair of arched cupboards to rear with pilasters and keyed archivolts, 3-fielded-panel doors.
