HARTLEBURY CP TITTON SO 87 SW 1/97 Pansington Farmhouse (formerly listed as part of Pansington Farm 14.3.69 and outbuildings)

GV II

Farmhouse. Late C17, extended late C18 with C20 alterations. Brick and timber-frame with painted brick infill, machine tile roof. Basically F-plan, stem aligned north/south, with additional short wing at north-east corner; late C18 wing added to west, with main stack laterally placed on stem of T between C17 part and C18 wing. Farmyard (east) front: projecting wings to left and right, two storeys, irregular fenestration: 2:5:2 windows, mostly 2-light C20 casements; ground floor: 2:3:2 mainly 2-light casements; entrance to left of hall range, door C20 studded. Framing: four square panels high to wings, three square panels to hall, with straight tension and angle braces; gable trusses: three queen struts to collar and V-struts in apex. Brick wing of late C18 has glazing bar sashes with plastered heads.
