Details
SP 0937 BROADWAY CP STATION ROAD 8/144 Gazebo approximately 12 metres east of 30.7.59 Russell House, and flanking walls GV II Gazebo and flanking walls. Late C18. Limestone ashlar with Welsh slate roof. Two storeys. North wall, facing road, has a central blocked doorway with ogee-headed plain stone surround. To each side there is a blind chamfered lancet window. On the first floor are two windows of two pointed lights separated by a flat-faced mullion. They have metal casements with glazing bars which branch to form Y-tracery. Above are two bands and a shaped gable with a blind quatrefoil and a chimney with cornice. At the right a rubble wall with coping links the gazebo to Russell House (qv) and contains a doorway with a small lancet opening to the right. At the left is a wall of squared limestone with coping, containing a quatrefoil opening and curved back at the left. At the rear of the gazebo are external stone steps to a first floor doorway under a metal canopy.
