GV II

House. Dated 1851. Rendered probably over slate rubble. Front is asbestos slate hung to first and second storeys. Left end is also asbestos slate hung. Projecting end chimney stacks, right end stack is truncated. Asbestos slate low-pitched roof within wooden modillion brackets to doubled eaves cornice. Plan: 2 room plan house with central entrance passage leading to rear stairs behind the right hand room. The partition between the passage and the right hand room has been removed, and t he stairs have been altered. C20 single storey lean-to on right side contains the kitchen and a lean-to garage has been built at the rear. Exterior: 3 storeys. Symmerical 3 bays, centre first floor blind. Original 16-pane sashes. Central doorway with canopy on original shaped brackets, now with pitched slate roof. C20 glazed door with shallow rectangular fanlight above. Large C20 lean-to addition to right and lean-to garage at rear. The left hand end chimney stack has slate tablet with date 1751 inscribed. Interior: Much altered and there seems to be no original joinery except for a section of the stair's newel post.
