Details

SP 0937 BROADWAY CP STATION ROAD (south side) 8/148 Lifford Memorial Hall GV II Public Hall. 1915. By A N Prentice. Limestone rubble with stone slate roof. Facade has three gabled projections, each with a 4-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window with hood under the gable. Below each outer window is a buttress. In the centre is an empty hermisherical niche, and a stone inscribed: "This Hall was Erected by his Friends to the Memory of James Wilfred 5th Viscount Lifford 1915". To each side of the central projection there is a 5-light window with transom. The right-hand part of the facade is blank except for a 3-light window at the right. At the left is a moulded door- way with Tudor arch. The left-hand (south-east) gable wall includes a single- storey canted bay window, and a window of two elliptical-headed lights under the apex.
