3/113 Atrim Gore Farmhouse - II

Farmhouse. C16 core with C18 facing. Brick walls (Flemish bond) on a stone plinth. Cob core to walls. Slate roof, hipped at left hand, gabled at right hand. Weatherboarding on gable wall. 2 brick stacks, at right hand gable and left of centre. Lobby entrance. 1½ storeys. c 5 windows, 3 light wooden casements with glazing bars. Wooden cills. Brick segmental arch voussoirs over. 4 half-dormers with pentice slate roofs. 2 doors, one at left hand, to former dairy, one left of centre to lobby, wood with glass panels, C20. Interior: hall, ceiling-beams making 9 compartments, deep-moulded chamfers, C16. Roof construction, c C18 rebuild with collar-beams. "RCHM, Dorset I", p 238 (8).
