Cottage in a row, probably one house originally. Circa early C17. Roughcast stone rubble. Steeply pitched asbestos slate roof with gabled ends abutting adjoining cottages. Rendered left hand gable end stack with weatherings. Plan: Single cell plan, the ground floor room and chamber above heated from fireplaces in a stack at the left end and with a wing at the back oversailing an access passage which gives access to rear of adjoining cottages. Probably originally part of a large house which could have included some of the adjoining cottages. Exterior: 2 storeys. 1-window front. C20 2 and 3-light casements. Doorway to right with C20 door and C20 glazed porch. Interior: Chamfered axial ceiling beam with run out stops and another beam near rear wall, but unchamfered. Fireplace in left hand side wall with slate rubble jambs and ovolo moulded timber lintel with run out stops on large ovolo-moulded timber corbels. Chamber above has fireplace with similar but smaller moulded timber lintel but not on corbels. The feet of the principal rafters are straight and the apex has mortice and tenoned joint. The ceiling of the passage under the rear way has chamfered joists with hollow step stops.
