Details

SALCOMBE ROAD 1. 1633 (North Side) Nos 1 to 13 (consec) Cambridge Terrace SY 1287 1/271 II GV 2. Mid C19 terrace that still retains features of earlier Sidmouth develop- ment. 3 storeys stucco faced with rusticated quoins to Nos 5, 6 and 7. Low pitch gable end slate roofs, over+wqing eaves with Swagged fretted fascia board. 2 windows each, but Nos 5, 6 and 7 with 5 and Nos 3, 8 and 9 with later superimposed bay windows to ground and 1st floors. Recessed sashes, later glazing, some with moulded or plain shouldered surrounds all with keystones over. Nos 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 have drip moulds over 2nd floor windows. Common tent roof verandah on cast iron supports with wood trellis columns end balustrades to Nos 5, 6 and 7. Recessed doors of 4 or 6 panels, some modernised in plain or moulded surrounds, rus- ticated on Nos 5, 6 mid 7. Nos 8 and 9 have hoods on shaped brackets.

Nos 1 to 13 (consec) Cambridge Terrace and Nos 1 and 2 Albany Villas form a group.
