HANWELL MAIN STREET SP4343 (North side) 24/81 Spring Farmhouse 08/12/55

GV II Farmhouse. Mid to late Cl7 with later additions and alterations in C18 and C20. Squared, coursed ironstone. Steeply pitched slate roof with stope-coped gables. Brick ridge and end stacks. 3-unit plan plus additional lower unit on right. 6-window range plus one-window range, 2 storeys plus attic. Main part: Entrance to left has a doorway with a cambered arched stone head and continuous hood mould with flanking tripartite sash windows. To right a C20 windows inserted within stone frame with hood mould and label stop and a tripartite sash with- wood lintel. First floor has 5 sashes inserted within stone framed surrounds. 3 windows have wood lintels. A small casement has a hood mould and label stop. 2 gabled dormers. Right part, 2- and 3-light wood casement to ground floor have wood lintels. 2-light attic casement. Interior not inspected.
