Formerly handed pair of houses. 1799 (dated). Hammer dressed stone. Quoins. Stone slate roof with stone brackets to gutter. Two gable stacks. Three storeys. Two central doors in recent porch with one 4-light stone mullioned window to each side. First and second floors identical with two 2-light windows to each dwelling, with continuous sills. Possibly these were formerly part of original continuous 14-light stone mullioned window. Window surrounds and mullions rendered. Central oval plaque reads:
Built by Joseph & Hannah Lockwood 1799
Cottage to right, and barn to left of no interest.
