NORTH HUISH SX75NW 4/459 AVONWICK Pair of gate piers and gate about 100 metres SE of Black Hall
GV II
Pair of gate piers and gate at entrance to drive at Black Hall (qv). Circa mid Cl9. Granite monolithic gate piers, square on plan, with granite caps with concave necking and ball finials. Corbel wrought iron gate with 7 rails progressively wider spaced towards the top; the stiles are bent over the top rail to form scrolls and the top rail has a scrolled cresting over the centre with a cast iron anthelion; the curved braces are also scrolled where they meet at the centre.
