Farmhouse. Early C18 with early C19 facade. Brick with gault brick south
facade. Slate roofs. South facade C19. 2 storeys in 5 bays, the centre bay
brought forward. Centre and side bays rebated, the latter paired. Half glazed
central panelled door below overlight. Doric portico porch with fluted columns
and plain pilasters. Triglyph frieze to entablature. Fenestration of sashes
with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. Timber eaves cornice carrying
paired modillions. Pediment over centre bay. Gabled roof and internal end
stacks. Returns have deep moulded brick platbands, the top edges plain tiled.
To west return this extends into C18 cross wing. Facade west gable has 4
blocked windows. East gable head rebuilt. C18 cross wing is illuminated
through various C19 and C20 sashes and casements. Further C19 extensions to
north.
