4/101 Wyche's Farmhouse.
II
Farmhouse: C17 with C20 brick additions and alterations. Partly timber framed with plaster infill on stone plinth, partly in washed brick, red tile roof and 2 brick chimneys. Original timber-framed house, 2-room gable entry plan, but now T-shaped plan. 2-storey, 3-bay front. Left end bay is gable end of original house. 5 by 3 regular, timber small frames with a surprisingly small queen post truss. In gable is a 3-light square-sectioned wood mullioned window with lattice-leaded glazing. Central bay has lean-to porch and a C20 timber-framed half-dormer. Right end bay has 2-light casement with glazing bars. Interior: timber frame intact except for north-west gable. Chamfered ceiling beam with flat stop and similar small queen post truss internally. Scrolled catch to wood mullioned window.
