Pair of houses, printing works shop, now one house and shop. Late C18, the house to left having C17 origins, with late C19 shop front, altered 1994. Header bond brickwork with large brick central ridge stack to the right-hand end of the left-and house, and slate roof. Double-depth plan, with C18 extension to right over carriage drive. 3 storeys; 2:2-window range. Cornice and parapet, with a straight joint between the houses; altered ground floor has a right-hand flat-arched carriageway with double doors, and a left-hand advanced C19 shop front with glazed stall risers, thin mullions to plate-glass windows, recessed to the centre with 4-pane overlight and glazed door, and fascia and cornice; upper windows have gauged brick flat arches over 6/6-pane first-floor and 3/3-pane second-floor sashes. Right-hand downpipe and lead hopper. A painted full-width sign on the first-floor reads W.H.HALLET PRINTER. INTERIOR not inspected but left-hand house noted as having retained the following features: low floor-to-ceiling heights indicative of early origins; exposed sash window with large C18 glazing bars to side elevation. Shop retains plank and muntin screen at rear; first floor front retains mid C19 cornicing, joinery and fireplace; central winding staircase with stick balusters and turned newels runs from 1st to 2nd floor.
