Early C18, 2 storey and attic, 1 gabled dormer and front gable, left.
No 1 incorporates an older timber framed C16 structure of which one fully-moulded
beamed and joisted ceiling remains in excellent preservation. External
stucco. Remainder red brick, plaster core cornice, pantiles, 1st floor
interrupted band. 4 windows in flush frames (2 sash and 2 mullion transom
casement) at 1st floor, also half window left and half panel right, segmental
arches at ground floor with stucco keys. + 2 6-panel doors,
in wood case with pilasters, roundels, and mutular cornice. Interior:
fine enriched early C18 mantel and cupboard with enrichment and 1/4 domed
head with shell ornament, No 5, early C19, 2 storey, red brick, pantiles
at lower pitch. Flush frame sash window at 1st floor, right with glazing
bars. Ground floor, flush frame sash, left, and shop front with glazing
bars and wood case with channelled pilasters.
Nos 1, 3A, 3 form a group with No 2 Lower Olland Street and No 56 St
Mary's Street
