GV II
House, now office. c1770, altered 1832. Brick with ashlar dressings; parapeted roof with brick stacks. Double-depth plan; symmetrical 3-window range. Georgian style. Brick end pilasters; top cornice with blocking course. Round-headed entrance has doorcase with fluted pilasters, Doric frieze and altered pediment; fanlight with radial glazing bars over 6-panel door. Windows have sills, and rubbed brick flat arches over 12-pane sashes; 2nd floor has 6-pane sashes. Lateral stack to left return and one to rear. Right return earlier 3-window range; windows have sills, and rubbed brick flat arches with keys over 12-pane and 6-pane sashes. The building originally faced Sandford Street where it turned through a right angle, but was altered when Queen Street was cut through in 1832.
