Row of 3 shops. c1840. Ashlar-faced with Welsh slate roof. 3 storeys, 5 bays with curved corners at each end, 2-bay return to John Street. Continuous shop front probably inserted late C19 though with later modifications. Rusticated quoins at angles and piers to each side of segmentally-arched doors. Cast-iron columns support fascia. Upper windows in stressed architraves with bolection moulding and enriched console brackets to segmental pediments. has rays and foliate decoration in tympanum. Egg-and-dart frieze and modillion eaves cornice. Mullioned and transomed windows, casements to second storey. Keystones over first floor windows in cornerpieces, and blind balustrading below the second storey. Doorway to John Street has acanthus style decoration to upper panels. Moulded sills and sill band. Vermiculated quoins. Axial stacks.
