2. C17. 2 symmetrical houses. Silver grey brick walls with red brick dressings, window arches and small window aprons at 1st floor. Bracketed cornice, old tiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. 5 windows. Old casement windows at 1st floor and late C18, central bay window. Ground floor sashes with glazing bars, central window of 3 lights. Reproduction bow window at north side. 6 panelled doors of which top 2 panels to that of No 84 now glazed. Moulded architraves and curved, moulded pediments above.
Nos 70 to 102 (even) with the building at the rear of Nos 70 and 72 form part of a group with Nos 93 and 95 opposite and with Nos 1 to 11 (odd) and l5 to 25 (odd) Denmark House, Elm House, Ruperts Elm, Ruperts Guard, White House, the Obelisk and No 30, Northfield End and with Tarry's Cottage, Bell Cottage and the Flat, Rupert's Lane.
