Details
ASHOVER SK36SE HAY LANE 1264-0/8/50 (West side (off)) Ashover Hay Primitive Methodist Chapel II Nonconformist chapel. Dated 1824, enlarged in 1870. Coursed squared rubble gritstone, with plain eaves, and a Welsh slated roof with stone slated eaves courses. South elevation has gabled front with offshut extension to east side. Doorway to centre of gable, with semicircular headed doorhead, with advanced keyblock and archivolts. Flanking windows, taller than the doorway, with semicircular heads detailed in the same manner as the doorway, with glazing bar sash windows. Rectangular plaque above doorway reads: 'Primitive Methodist Chapel. Erected 1824. Enlarged 1870.'
