Garden walls and gatepiers. C18. Coursed rubble sandstone
walling on the boundary of Cutthorpe Hall (qv), incorporating
semicircular recess, the walling rising to 2 metre height,
with quoined returns, ramped copings at junctions with lower
walling and flat copings to wall head. Raised gateway,
approached by means of 5 semicircular steps of diminishing
radii, the gateway defined by ashlar gatepiers, square on
plan, terminating just above wall head level and with a boldly
oversailing moulded cap to each pier. Plain boarded gate.
