Terrace of 7 shops formerly with accommodation over, built in 3 phases and stepped to accommodate to the sloping site. Early C19 with later alterations. Flemish bond brickwork with heavy slate roofs. 11-window range, 2-storeyed. Shop fronts to Nos 15, 19 & 21 renewed in a traditional style, the shop front to No.17 late C19 or early C20 with round-arched glazing to windows with decoration in the spandrels and moulded consoles to fascia. Round-arched passage entry to right of No.15. Upper windows are 12-pane sashes with flat-arched heads. Windows to No.15 are set in round-arched recesses and have a continuous sill band. Nos 5-13 have inserted shop fronts to ground floor, and round-arched passage entry between Nos 9 & 11. Upper windows renewed in original openings with flat-arched painted stone heads. Moulded wood eaves cornice throughout and end wall stacks.
