Pair of houses. Late C17 origin, remodelled mid C18, altered. Cement-rendered stone, graduated slate roof. 2 storeys, 3:2 windows to 1st floor; rear wing to No.147 on left, C20 addition to rear of No.145. No.147: C20 part-glazed door beneath concrete hood on shaped concrete brackets (copied but fixed in wrong orientation). Altered C17 window on left has later sill and no mullions; on right of door a tall C20 casement in stone surround; continuous dripmould. 1st floor: projecting sills to three C20 casements. No.145: C20 door in original C18 architrave with cornice on consoles. Flanking windows and those to 1st floor have concrete sills to aluminium casements in thin surrounds. Gutter blocks; ashlar gable copings on right. Rendered end stack on right, brick ridge stack on party wall and end stack on left rebuilt on broad base. INTERIORS not inspected: previous list description states No.147 has 'old tie-beam roof'.
