House. Dated 1688, altered C18. Roughcast stone, graduated slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with wing to rear and later addition on left return. 6-panel door in moulded ashlar surround with date in sunken panel on lintel; moulded and shaped brackets to stone cornice. Flanking windows and those to 1st floor all have C20 casements with projecting stone sills and thin surrounds. End stack on left and another to right set on front slope. Rear: wing has external stack. Mid C18 fielded-panel door the upper panels ogee headed. INTERIOR: oak ceiling beams; altered oak staircase with turned balusters, square newels and moulded handrail; 3-light oak-mullioned window now in alcove to rear of lounge, a similar 2-light window said to be on 1st floor; some 2-panel doors with original thumb latches.
