Two town houses, being part of a formerly symmetrical terrace of seven, the other houses not included. Now offices. Dated 1825 in fanlight of No.7; altered. Red brick in Flemish bond, with sandstone dressings and slate roof. Double-depth plan, both double-fronted and with back extensions. Two storeys, plus attic to No.7, 3+3 windows; with plain frieze and moulded cornice carried across. No.7 to the left is symmetrical, with a wide pedimented 3-bay centre breaking forwards slightly and containing a round-headed doorway which has a doorcase of Tuscan semi-columns and a fanlight with radiating metal tracery including the date "1825", flanked by large C20 segmental bow-windows with glazing bars; three 12-pane sashes at 1st floor (flanked by pseudo-shutters); and a small 6-pane attic window in the pediment. No.5 to the right, also symmetrical but altered in the later C19, has a flat-roofed porch in the centre with heavy rusticated sandstone facade and entablature with cornice, and a small round-headed window in each side with coloured margin panes; a window above the porch with moulded architrave and sillband; and flanking these, stone 2-storey canted bays with pilasters and cornices to the ground floor level and windows on both floors with altered glazing. Ridge chimneys to No.5, none to No.7.
