2. Early C18 terrace, each house 2 storeys attic and basement. Nos 6-10 3 windows, No 12 4 windows. High pitched tiled roof, 2 dormers, with low pedimented tops, to each house. Moulded and modillioned wood eaves cornice. 2 very large rebuilt chimney stacks. Brown brick with red brick dressings. Bands in 2 planes at 1st and 2nd floor. Gauged, shallow segmental arches to sash windows, some renewed, those of No 6 and No 12 with glazing bars. Moulded wood cills. 2 stone steps to doors with fluted cornice heads and rectangular fanlights. No 6 has renewed door of 8 fielded panels and early C19 patterned semi-circular fanlight inserted. No 8 has early C19 door of 4 fielded and 2 flat panels. Nos 10 and 12 have doors of 8 fielded panels. All have wood Doric doorcases with fluted pilasters, triglyph frieze, moulded architrave and dentil cornice broken back in centre. Nos 10 and 12 have wrought iron area railings. 6 brick gate piers with moulded stone caps and ball finials, stone-coped plinths. Low, stone-coped walls between. Old railings have been removed and song modern ones substituted.
All the listed buildings on the West Side of Crooms Hill from Nos 6 to 46 (even) and Nos 38 and 40 form a group.
