forecourt at Tregothnan
The whole description shall be amended to read -
Walls, railings, gatepiers and gates. Circa 1860. Stone and cast iron. Ashlar
piers, octagonal shafts on square bases and with decorative caps some of which
are crowned by sea lions holding the Falmouth arms. The railings are Gothic in
character and carried on a dwarf stone wall. Double gates on piers.

GV II
Walls, railings, gatepiers and gates. Probably 1845-8 by Lewis Vulliamy for the
second Earl of Falmouth. Stone and cast iron. Ashlar piers, octagonal shafts on
square bases and with decorative caps some of which are crowned by sea lions holding
the Falmouth arms. The railings are Gothic in character and carried on a dwarf
stone wall. Double gates on piers.
