Church. Built in 1908 by the Isle of Wight architect I. Jones
(1840 - 1917). Built of stone rubble from a demolished
farmhouse (the south transept has a quoin dated 1694) with
timberframed and tiled spirelet and roof thatched with Norfolk
reed. Nave, apsidal ended chancel, south transept, south porch
and west spirelet. Nave of 3 bays with 2 double arched windows
and 1 triple arched window. South transept has half-hipped
roof and 2 mullioned windows. The south porch, which is
dedicated to Lady Tennyson's mother is gabled with
timber-framing, pebbledashed infill and tiled roof. Apsidal
ended chancel of 2 bays with pointed arched windows. West
spirelet is square in shape with timber framed squat tower
with wooden louvres and pyramidal tiled roof. Interior has
roof of angled queen strut type. Wooden chancel screen with
vine motif carved by the Rev. T.G. Devitt. The altar table,
communion rails and pews are probably also by the Rev. Devitt.
