8/146 Pare Behan (formerly listed as - Behan Park House) 30-5-67 - II

Vicarage now house. Circa 1802 - 1810 built for Jeremiah Trist, Vicar. Painted brick with low pitched half-hipped Delabole slate roof and brick chimneys over side walls. Double depth central stair plan. 2 storeys, 2:1:2 bay south front. Right bay slightly recessed and probably added circa 1930 - 40. Centre bay of original house is broken forward with tripartite sash to ground and first floor and oculus in low pitched gable over. Other windows are 12-paned- sashes with slightly cambered brick arches to bays 1, 2, 4 and 5. Plinth, wide band between floors, eaves cornice with widely-spaced modillions and rusticated quoins. Entrance is to west front with stucco over brick, distyle, prostyle, Doric porch with flat roof. Arch headed stair window with geometric glazing bars to fanlight. Interior is little altered with original panelled doors and open well, open tread staircase with mahogany handrail. Original ceilings hidden.
