House, now shop. Late C17, with C18 and C19 extensions; sub-divided in C19. Probably lobby-entry plan originally, with added rear wings. Orange-red brick in irregular bond at front, with pulvinated eaves cornice of moulded brick; rear of rendered rubble stone; added wings of brick; brick centre stack to pantile roof. 2-storey 4-window front. C20 shop front of panelled pilasters and cornice with shop door towards right end: at far right, board passage door with overlight. First floor windows to left are 4-pane sashes, those to right cross-windows, all with painted stone and moulded brick sills, and flat arches. Blocked bullseye window in centre. INTERIOR: at rear of right half of house, probably in original position, is a close-string staircase, with square newels and moulded handrail; bulbous balusters are exposed on first floor landing but remainder of balustrade is boarded-in. In the rear passage entry, quarter-round moulded joists with wide boards are visible. C18 floor boards on first floor.
