Inn. Later C18 front to probably C16 core. Painted stucco; brick; timber-frame; C20 plain tile roof; late C19 brick end stack to right; brick stack to rear. 3-storeys; 2-window range: C19, 2/2: 6/6: 2/2 sashes; storey band; 1/2: 3/6: 1/2 sashes over, altered to far left; banded and moulded eaves with coping to parapet. Courtyard, to right, has C20 plank folding doors, and exposed ceiling beams. C19 entrances to smoke room has etched glass; to left, C19, 2/6/2 upper sash, over C19 leaded lower sections. Over rear of passage is C16 jettied timber-frame with mutilated lower frame and with stud patterned bressummer over C18 canted oriel on enriched consoles, and small C20 casement to right. Over is C19 loading platform and C20 plank door obscuring enriched consoles of probable oriel, under further enriched bressummer. Weather boarded gable with pulley joist and C20 light. Parallel gable continues as 2-storey rear range C15 of 5 bays under C20 plain tile roof; 4-window range of 3 early C19 casements, one C20 casement to right; plank loft doors to far right; part plastered, part weather boarded; C19 and C20 doors and lattice leaded casements in mainly C19 and C20 brickwork set in mutilated timber-frame; jettied over with coved brackets to massive main beams. C20 wrought-iron sign hanger.
