2. Early C19 terrace of houses and shops; altered. Two storeys and dormers. Two or 3 windows each. Tile roofs; Nos 44 and 45 roof renewed. Brick ridge stacks with moulded caps. Nos 40 and 41, brick; Nos 42-45, stucco fronts. Nos 40-43, sash dormer with raking roofs; Nos 44 and 45, modern casement dormers. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars; Nos 43 and 43A, modern 1st floor metal windows; No 45, 1st floor window with side light. Nos 40-43A, late C19 shopfront, with consoles flanking fascias; No 49, recessed doorway with ½ glazed door; No 45, early C19 shopfront with pilasters carrying entablature with projecting cornice; shop doorway with fanlight and 1/2 glazed door. At rear of No 45, former early C19 cottage now part of the main premises. Two storeys. Two windows. Tile roof with brick ridge stack. Brick. Segmental arched, flush-framed sash windows with glazing bars. Doorway with segmental, wooden hood.
