Terraced town house. 1725 origin, alterations to front possibly by C. R. Cockerell in 1822-24 and interior refurbished with rear extension by Mewes and Davis in 1909-10. Brown brick with stuccoed ground floor, slate roof. 5 windows wide. Central entrance with Ionic columned porch of 1822-24. Recessed glazing bar sash windows under flat red brick gauged arches. Attic storey and mansard well proportioned rebuild of 1909. Original cornice over 2nd floor; cornice and parapet to attic. 1st floor early C19 wrought iron balconettes and railings over porch. Early C19 area railings. Rear has bowed ground floor projection on terrace. Interior lavishly and elegantly fitted out by Mewes and Davis in the subtle and very convincing blend of neo-Adam and Louis XVI including central gallery, grand staircase with fine wrought iron balustrade, plasterwork and boiseries etc.
