2. C18 house formerly the Vine Inn, altered. Two storeys and dormer. Three windows, central window blocked. Tiled roof, former central ridge stack removed. Brick with painted street front. Oversailing brick eaves cornice. Brick string at 1st floor level. Tile-hung south gable. Raked casement dormer. C19 sash windows to 1st floor of street front; on south gable return, 2 and 3 casement window, flush framed with glazing bars. Modern shop windows. The former Nos 1 and 2 Vine Cottages now form part of the rear premises of No 61. Early C18 range, probably that shown on the Willis mao of 1768. Two storeys. Two windows to each former cottage on south elevation. Tiled roof, former brick central stack removed. Flemish bond brick. West gable and top is tile hung and the ground floor stuccoed. East gable end top is timber framed with brick nogging. Moulded bricks string at 1st floor level. Segmental arched casement windows with mullions and transoms; modern fenestration to ground floor windows. Former cottage entrances on north side with plain pedimented hoods. Former Vine Cottages connected to No 61 by 1 storey link.
