Assembly Rooms, now leisure complex. c 1840. Stucco to brick; turnerised slate roof; brick stack to rear. 2-storeys; 5-window range: 9/9 sashes separated by 4 pilasters supporting protruding frieze; moulded eaves cornice with raised moulded block over. To left, shop window under moulded arch; central entrance with C20 double doors; to right, two C20 plate glass windows under altered arch. Mill Street return has moulded pediment over central protruding bay, and five 6/6 sashes to ground floor. Rear elevation has various sashes and blocked openings, stone storey band to 1st floor and 2-leaf panelled door. INTERIOR remodelled mid C20.
