Coaching inn and attached range of outbuildings and stables; now public house. Late C18, with C19 and C20 alteration and extension; stable range C18. House of red brick, obscured by creeper, with outshut of coursed squared stone; former outbuildings and stable range of rubble stone. Pantile roofs with brick stacks. House has central-entry plan, 2 rooms deep, with outshut: former outbuildings at right rear now incorporated in domestic use. Stable range attached at left rear. House front of 2 storeys and 3 windows. C20 glazed door beneath gabled hood. All windows are 3-light, small-pane sliding sashes with segment heads, except for 1st-floor centre one, which is of 2 lights. Ground floor windows have painted stone sills. Right return: house gable wall 2 storeys and attic; 2 windows; range to right of 1 storey and 3 bays; further right low 2-storey 2-bay extension. House gable wall has 2-light, small-pane sliding sashes with segment heads on both floors: ground-floor windows have painted stone sills; on 1st floor, left window is blind. 1-storey range has 6-panel door to left of 2 segment-headed 4-pane sashes. Stable range of 1 storey and 6 bays. Converted part to left has board doors on each side of 2-light, small-pane sliding sash. Stables have divided doors, and either slatted or 9-pane fixed light windows. All openings in the range have cambered arches of voussoirs.
