6/22 Enborne Chase 6.4.67 (Formerly Listed As The Rectory) - II
House. Late Cl8 and early C19. Red brick with some tile hanging and old tile H plan roof. Valley gutter and 2 stacks. 2 storeys and attic. All window sashes with glazing bars. West front. 4 bays. Gabled brick and tile porch in 3rd bay from left with brick quoins and dentil eaves. Arched doorway with panelled door and radial fanlight. Left-hand bay is probably early C19. One storey brick and tile addition to left with 2 windows. South front. 4 bays. Twin gables with one window in each. Tile hung first floor and attic. Bay to far left with blank windows. Ground floor sashes in 2 right-hand bays extend from floor to ceiling. East front. 3 bays. Central bay projects slightly and has window in gable above with stack to left. Central sash on ground floor extends from floor to ceiling. Central arched sash on first floor with balcony. Left- hand bay has window on first floor only. Right-hand bay is probably early C19. Interior mainly of early C19. Ground floor room to right on south front has hop basket motif on fireplace and moulded cornice. Contemporary pelmets. Double height entrance hall with staircase. House dated 1803 in gable on west front.
