Outpatients Department of Royal Infirmary. 1905-8. By E.T.Hall
and John Brooke. Red brick. Portland stone dressings and
bands. Freestanding block. 1 storey. Pediment to road with
Doric 5 bay loggia: thermal window above, flanked by
polychrome banded piers. Arched windows to returns. Central
domed fleche with applied columns. Portland stone balustrade
to parapet. Hall, 9 bays, centrally lit with semi circular
principal trusses. The rebuilt consultation rooms to either
side of the hall are not of special architectural or historic
interest. The front iron railings and former lodge are
included in this listing.
