Two houses, now two shops. Late C18, with C19 alteration. Painted brick in English garden-wall bond, ground floor of 4 rendered and painted; pantile roof, with brick stacks at right end of each house. 3-storey 5-window front. Double shop front to No.2, with plain pilasters and cornice on grooved consoles; half-glazed door with overlight between 3-light canted window to left and large 4-pane window to right. No.4 has central half-glazed and panelled door in pilastered doorcase with cornice which continues over shop front to right. Glazed double shop doors with overlight recessed to left of canted window with moulded glazing bars. To left, plate-glass shop window in reeded pilaster and cornice frame. Upper-floor windows are 4-pane sashes, those on second floor squat, with painted stone sills and cambered arches. INTERIOR: dogleg staircase in 4 rises to second floor, with column-on-vase balusters, moulded ramped-up handrail and turned newels.
