Large dressed sandstone blocks, wooden gates; wooden footbridge over lower entrance; overflow channel on west side, culverted at north end. Forms group with Lock Cottage (q.v.) and with Runnel Brow Bridge (q.v.) approx. 50m south. Located on boundary between Burscough CP and Lathom CP.
