Gate Piers and Gates at Benham Park, West Lodge
(Formerly listed under BATH ROAD (south side). Previously listed as gatepiers from Hamstead Marshall at Stock Cross)

Two gate piers. c.1662 to c.1678. Probably by William Wynne or Winde. Portland stone ashlar. Each pier has a moulded base, banded rustication and segmental pediment breaking forward. Both are crowned by trophies including armour, weaponry, standards etc. To left is a short wing wall with banded rustication, projecting cornice and end piers with ball finials. Two pairs of late C19 wrought iron gates.
